Drewitts Events, a long established events team, worked in association with The Worshipful Company of Wheelwrights, to restore a historic example of Edwardian travel; a recently rediscovered 1911 horse bus. 

Our task was to produce a strong brand platform for Drewitts Events which would allow them to approach companies to offer advertising opportunities on the majestic carriage which would take part in major events. One such event is The Lord Mayor’s Show in London, with press exposure of over 15 million: a proven way to reach a large audience!  

Taking inspiration from the ornately hand built omnibus, we set about creating a logo and developing a visual brand identity that would reflect the historic /modern balance of using the horse drawn omnibus as a modern advertising portal.

Using a wheel pattern in a striking way adds to the brands ‘presence’ and creates an element of fun. Certain targeted letters are finished with a bespoke wax seal for tradition and an air of importance and intrigue.

We put together simple and clear illustrations to show the different panels on which customers can advertise. We are pleased to say we still work with the Drewits Events team very regularly, helping them with collateral for numerous heritage days, special events and bespoke functions and of course taking part in the annual Lord Mayors shows.
