Grill and Gear is a BBQ retailer and outdoor leisure emporium. The old identity was, ahem, very outdated and feeling a little sorry for itself to say the least! So, out with the old and in with the new. Working closely with the Grill and Gear team we renamed and set about creating a new brand identity with a punchy, substantial feel, reflecting (amongst other things) the premium range of quality built BBQs that they stock.
A key consideration when creating the new identity was the position of the retail premises. located as they are, on a busy road. The chunky type and punchy colours purposely stand out to attract passing traffic.
As part of the project we designed and built a single-page responsive website with a view to expanding into a bigger e-commerce site down the line: a simple, clean structure with a focus on finding and differentiating the different products on offer.
We constructed simple and catchy messages around the team’s expertise and friendly service. Offering free assembly and delivery on all BBQ and smokers sets them apart from other big retailers.
We continued to run the new identity across ad campaigns, direct mailers, stationery and a range of promotional items. Every BBQ enthusiast has to love a branded bottle opener!
